EOOS Social Design was founded in 2020 by EOOS as a social business to advance its social and sustainable design initiatives.

EOOS (established in 1995) is an international design studio based in Vienna, specializing in furniture/ product design and social design. Martin Bergmann, Gernot Bohmann and Harald Gruendl are the partners and founders. In furniture design, EOOS operates in the premium segment, serving clients such as Carl Hansen & Søn, bulthaup, Herman Miller, Keilhauer and Walter Knoll. In product design, they support brands like Alessi, Lamy, Laufen, Zumtobel and Nuki. Since 2010, EOOS has been working in the field of social design, primarily for the Global South in the area of WASH (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene) with partners such as the Gates Foundation and the International Red Cross.

EOOS has received numerous international design awards and represented Austria at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2016) and at the Milan Design Triennial (2019). The Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) in Vienna dedicated solo exhibitions to EOOS in 2015 and 2019.
